Suzanne Allies

Prof. Dip Psy C, Dip CST. MNCPS Acc.

It’s important to know that I’m a qualified counsellor and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). My accreditation is backed by the UK government through the Professional Standards Authority.

I understand how hard it can be to take the first step into therapy and I am dedicated to making you feel comfortable. My approach is relaxed; I use humour when it allows and will always offer you a warm and nourishing hot or cold drink.

Based in Worcester, I have a cute therapy room in a wildlife area at the bottom of my garden. I wish to provide you a sanctuary in nature and the freedom to be yourself to cry or express your feelings of anger in a safe and nurturing environment. I am passionate about helping people to find ways to welcome their anxiety and transform it into their superpower. My journey to becoming a therapist started 30 years ago when I experienced severe anxiety as a student and counselling helped me to grow in confidence. I have experienced many significant bereavements in my life and having someone be present with me, showing me acceptance and witnessing my pain without trying to fix it, was what got me through. My reason to get out of bed each day, or ikigai (Japanese word that roughly translates as ‘purpose for being’) is to be the best therapist I can. My main mission is for people to experience true acceptance with me and learn to feel comfortable to show their emotions in daily life without fear of judgement. In a nutshell, I feel that no one should feel ashamed of needing to talk about their feelings and asking for help when they are struggling. Being honest and being yourself is so crucial to maintain good mental health.
