Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) 2-day training

This 2-day course qualifies you to become a Mental Health First Aider and it trains you to know how to appropriately support the mental health and wellbeing of children with a focus on the importance of a whole-school approach to supporting mental health in schools. It mainly covers working with children aged 8 to 18 but will also cover supporting the MH of children aged 7 and under. It would be a useful addition to your CV and ideal for anyone with an interest in becoming a Designated Mental Health Lead in a school. You will receive a certificate and a comprehensive manual and workbook, and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Attendance on both days is mandatory to gain a certificate.

The course covers anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders and psychosis and how to support these confidently and appropriately in children.

Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Level 3 training

This 2-day course qualifies you to become a Mental Health First Aider for children, young people and adults. You gain a RQF level 3 certificate. It would be a useful addition to your CV and ideal for anyone with an interest in working with mental health conditions in a variety of settings. You will receive a certificate, a guidebook and lunch, and refreshments, will be provided. Attendance on both days is mandatory to gain a certificate and you will be expected to pass a basic assessment at the end of the course.

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 training

This is a half-day course (4 hours) where you gain a RQF level 1 certificate in awareness of providing first aid for mental health. It is designed to give you basic knowledge about mental health support. You will receive a level 1 certificate when passing a basic assessment at the end of the course.

The course covers what is first aid for mental health in adults and children/young people, identifying mental health conditions, starting a conversation, stress, and mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, suicide and self-harm). It also covers brief information about substance misuse and mental health in the workplace.

First Aid for Youth Mental Health Level 2 training

This is a 1-day course which allows you to gain a RQF level 2 certificate in First Aid for Youth Mental Health. It would be a useful addition to your CV and ideal for anyone with an interest in working with children and young people in a school or other settings. You will receive a certificate and a guidebook and drinks are provided. You will be expected to pass a basic assessment at the end of the course.

First Aid for Mental Health Level 2 training

This is a 1-day course which allows you to gain a RQF level 2 certificate in First Aid for Mental Health. This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.

Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition, therefore, it would be a useful addition to your CV. You will receive a certificate and a guidebook and drinks are provided. You will be expected to pass a basic assessment at the end of the course.
